Come on out and drum and sing and welcome in the Winter solstice!!

Carolyn Martin from Willow Park has asked me to facilitate another drum circle for the Winter solstice. My friend Anthony Barr from Sacred Sevens will be joining us remotely from Mexico. Bring your drums, your voices, your percussion instruments and your spirit! We will be singing and drumming to Welcome in the Winter Solstice and pray for World Peace. We will also end the night with the lighting of candles and a meditation to end the year and to start the new year..

 The Winter Solstice marks a central part of nature’s cycle. It is a time of new growth, rebirth and renewal. It is a reminder that in order to begin anew, the old must end. It is the time of year when we pay homage to the darkness of life’s mysteries, while still keeping our faith. Spring will come again.

PLEASE DRESS WARMLY. THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT/Warm Boots, Mitts etc. Also Please bring flashlight.

Willow Park has offered to have a couple fires to keep us warm and will also have some Christmas lights to help guide our way!  ENTRANCE TO PARK OFF OF HIGHWAY 7 ON NORTH SIDE JUST WEST OF WINSTON CHURCHILL (look for little blue Willow Park sign and park by school and follow path down to Willow Park). There is a gazebo that will provide some protection from the elements.

Please try to arrive for the lighting of the fire at 4pm and we will close the ceremony by 6pm with a prayer for peace with the lighting of candles and a meditation.
